As part of my New Year’s Resolutions I am trying to expand my indie polishes experience by trying a new to me brand every month. This month Superchic Lacquer was next on my list.
I have to admit I was a little disappointed when I was looking through their website. I must have ordered after a sale because most of the polishes that caught my eye were sold out. And there were several. 😦 Since they were new to me I was a little worried that the polishes I wanted were permanently sold out and would not be replenished. I did some research and found they would be restocking them but didn’t know when.
I decided to go ahead and purchase the polishes they did have in stock that I wanted. I ended up with four polishes in my cart. One more polish would have given me free shipping but they just didn’t have anything left that I wanted. But the shipping on the four polishes ended up being 5.75 which is not too bad in my opinion. They have a guest or register an account option when you check out. I highly recommend registering with them. Your shipping information is saved in your account as well as the option to create a wish list and view your order details. In the end I purchased Lucid LaLa Land, Realm of Erotica, Notions of Ariel and Wish Upon A Wisp.
The first polish I decided to try was Lucid LaLa Land from the six piece Dreamology Collection. This collection consists of a green, blue, black, red, fuchsia and purple holographic polish. I also really love the new bottles they chose to go with. The previous bottles were ok but just a little to “out of this world” for me to appreciate. The clear plastic boxes they came in was also a nice touch. I prefer them over the Enchanted, Starrily or ILNP boxes where its hard to see what the polish looks like. Pictures are not doing this polish the justice it deserves. It is top notch and one of the best holos I’ve seen. Application was very smooth and no complaints about the brush either. Two coats were applied to be opaque. I had very little clean up as well.
Overall a fantastic polish that makes me look forward to trying out more from this brand.
**A couple weeks after wearing this polish I checked the website again and found they had a major restock. I’m waiting on my shipment to come in as we speak.
