Dragon fruit. It’s the image that popped into my head when I first saw this polish. Call me crazy but its what I see. That’s one of the things that attracted me to the polish when I first saw it. The other thing was the company name. Bling Biscuit Lacquer. Never heard of it. When I googled it I found that they are no longer making polish. Ugh!
I found this polish at a local indie swap. The girl that brought it didnt have anything bad to say about it other than it was too red for her taste.
Soul Sistah! is a deep magenta jelly polish with blue metallic glitter. I was expecting a gloss or semi-gloss finish but it was a little surprising to find that it was matte. A quick drying matte as well. When applying it I had to hurrying so the polish would stay smooth. Any delay and the polish would start drying and leave an uneven look. I was able to get the polish opaque in two semi thin coats. I was a little worried about how well it would clean up since it was a deep magenta color but it was a breeze. I used UNT as my peel off base coat and had no reaction when applying the polish but it was more difficult to peel off the next day. Instead of it coming off in huge chunks or the entire nail at once it would only chip off in small pieces. I ended up using polish remover to take it off. Perhaps thicker coats would have helped?
In the end I liked this polish and wont shy away if i come across other polishes by this brand. Its too bad they are no longer in business.
Do you own any Bling Biscuit Lacquer? Is so, what are your thoughts on it? Anything I should add to my wish list?
